| 24Mrs. Marianna G Price was born September 8, 1868 in Jacksonville, N.C., and later moved to Windsor, Fla. She was happily married to J.M. Price November 20, 1890 and came to Melrose where she spent the remaining years of her life. She was confirmed at the age of 13 and joined the Methodist Church and lived a conscientious Christian life, was ready to speak for her Lord. She has been a member of the Melrose Sunday school for neraly twenty-three years, never missing when it was possible for her to attend. She has been president of the Woman's Home Mission scoeity for several years and was at the time of her death. She was loved by all who knew her. She leaves behind her a devoted husband, one daughter and one son, one brother and three sisters and a great host of friends to mourn her departure, but they do not mourn as those who have no hope, because they know that she is at rest in the city of God. Her precious body was tenderly laid to rest in the Melrose cemetery on the 31st of December, 1921. |
