Obituary Notes for James Murchison PRICE |
Murchison Price, highly respected citizen living near the Alachua-Putnam county line in the vicinity of Melrose, died Wednesday following a long illness, according to word reaching G. Thurman Price,a nephew who is connected with the First National Bank. The deceased was a frequent visitor in Gainesville and was known and loved by many. He was in his seventies. Obituary J.M. Price a pioneer citizen of Melrose died at his home near there about nine oclock Wednesday morning, pneumonia being the immediate cause of his death. Melrose Lodge no. 69 F. and A.M. will have charge of the funeral, and interment will be made in Eliam cemetery. Funeral services took place at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Price was a good citizen, a constant church member and a successful farmer. He had been superintendent of the Melrose Methodist Sunday school for twenty-four years, and served his lodge in the capacity of secretary for twelve or fifteen years. He leaves a number of relatives and a host of friends to mourn his death. |
