   —Johnny Kelly, Arlington Marathoner, now living in Acton, retained his Berwick, Pa. Thanksgiving Day marathon title, leading the field of twelve by almost half a mile over the nine-mile, two hundred yard course. His time was 48.47.

Obituaries

MRS. EMIL BAUER
   Mrs. Josephine (Becker) Bauer of 1277 Massachusetts avenue, Arlington Heights, widow of Emil Bauer, died Tuesday afternoon in the Symmes Arlington Hospital, where she was taken November 22 after falling on a sidewalk.
   She was born in Germany eighty-four years ago and had lived in Arlington for 63 years. A member of St. John's Episcopal church, she leaves three sons, Albert Bauer of Attleboro, Carl Bauer of Stoneham and Edward Bauer of Boston; three daughters, Miss Emile Bauer, at home; Mrs. Arthur Smith of West Medford, and Mrs. Albert Murphy of Brighton; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren
   Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 in St. John's church, with the Rev. Robert Hatch, the rector, officiating.

MISS MARY E. AHERN
   Miss Mary E. Ahern of 20 Alton street passed away on Tuesday at the age of seventy-two. She was the daughter of Maurice and Abbie Murphy Ahern, and had lived here all her life. She leaves her brother, Maurice P. Ahern, with whom she lived, and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral will be held tomorrow morning with a requiem mass in St. Agnes' church at nine o'clock. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.

MISS MAY E. PLUMER
   Miss May Elizabeth Plumer, formerly of Lexington, died Tuesday in the home of her niece, Mrs. Henry G. Tuttle, 6 Lombard terrace, with whom she lived. She was eighty-four years old.
   She leaves, in addition to her niece, a sister, Miss Margaret F. Plumer of Arlington, and two nephews, Richard W. Hodgdon of Arlington and Dr. Frank W. Hodgdon of Pasadena, Calif.
   Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 in the Saville & Kimball Chapel, 418 Massachusetts avenue, with the Rev. Robert Hatch, rector of St. John's church, of which she was a member, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn cemetery.
