Funerals
   Evelyn Pearson Peirce died yesterday afternoon at her home, 85 Butman road, after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Charles H. Peirce; one son, George Peirce; her parents, Dennison and Hannah Pearson; one brother, Wilfred Pearson, all of this city; also, by one niece and one nephew. Mrs. Peirce was a member of Puritan chapter 54, Order of Eastern Star. Her body was removed to Saunders' Funeral home, 90 Westford street.
   The funeral of Lorraine Gwendolyn Boisvert, infant daughter of Horace and Alberta (Huntley) Boisvert, took place Saturday afternoon from the home of her parents, 68 Crescent street. Services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. Edward W. Cantwell. Lee Sargent sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "The Old Rugged Cross." The bearers were Masters Willis Clark, Harold Keene, James Queenan and Arthur Bilodeau. Burial was in the family lot in Westlawn cemetery where Rev. Edward W. Cantwell read the committal prayers. Arrangements were in charge of Funeral Director Joseph E. Tremblay.
   The funeral of Miss Hannah Collins, a former resident of this city, but of late years of South Boston, took place this morning from the Funeral chapel, 169 Worthen street, at 8:30 o'clock and was largely attended by sorrowing relatives and friends. At St. Patrick's church at 9 o'clock a funeral high mass was celebrated by Rev. John M. McGarry, DCL, pastor. The choir under the direction of Mr. Henry T. Gilday, who also presided at the organ, sang the Gregorial mass, the solos being sustained by Miss Frances Tighe and Mrs. Frank M. Brogan. At the offertory Miss Tighe and Mrs. Brogan sang in duet, "Misereremini Mei," and as the body was borne from the church the choir rendered the "De Profundis." There were many beautiful flowers and numerous spiritual bouquets. Present at the mass and funeral were relatives and friends from Boston, and also the Sisters of Charity of St. John's hospital. The bearers were Edward G. Moore, Edward J. Moore, both of South Boston, Eugene F. Savage, Jr.,. Internment was in the family lot in St. Patrick's cemetery where committal prayers at the grave were read by Rev. Edwin F. Carey. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Undertaker Peter H. Savage Son.
   The funeral of Miss Minnie F. Tully took place this morning at 8 o'clock from the Meehan & Kirwin Funeral Home, 228 Worthen street. The cortege, led by a limousine filled with flowers, proceeded to the Immaculate Conception church where, at 9 o'clock, a funeral high mass was celebrated by Rev. C. J. Sullivan, OMI. Seated in the sanctuary was Rev. Daniel F. Gorman, of Chelmsford. The choir, under the direction of Mr. Charles P. Smith sang the Gregorian mass, the soloists being Misses Catherine McQuaid, Margaret M. Knowles and Mary Sheridan, at the offertory Miss Knowles sang "O Meritum Passionis" and as the body was taken from the church the choir sang De Profundis with Mr. Smith sustaining the solos. Mrs. Hugh Walker was at the organ. The bearers were John W. McGuinness, Denis J. Pendergast, Michael J. Quinn, Martin J. Rock, Philip H. Curran and William A. Curran. Burial took place in the family lot in St. Patrick's cemetery where the committal prayers were read by Fr. Sullivan and Fr. Gorman. Arrangements were in charge of Funeral Directors Meehan & Kirwin.
   The funeral of Miss Nellie T. Reardon took place this morning at 9:30 o'clock from her house, 558 Rogers street. The cortege proceeded to the Immaculate Conception church, where at 10 o'clock a solemn high funeral mass was sung by the pastor, Rev. Denis A. Sullivan, OMI, assisted by Rev. Eugene Sweeney, OMI, as deacon, and Rev. William Kelley, OMI, as sub-deacon. Present within the sanctuary was Rev. Joseph Boyd, OMI. The choir, under the direction of Mr. Charles P. Smith, sang the Gregorian mass, the solos of the mass being sustained by Mr. Smith, Miss Margaret Knowles, Miss Catherine McQuaid, Mrs. Hugh Walker, Miss Mary Sheridan and Mr. George Englesby. At the offertory, Mrs. Walker and Miss Knowles sang in duet "Misereremini Mei," and at the conclusion of mass, Mr. Englesby sang "O Meritum Passionis." As the remains were borne from church the choir sang "De Profundis," Mr. Smith sustaining the solo and Mrs. Walker presiding at the organ. There was a profusion of beautiful floral tributes, also innumerable spiritual bouquets. The bearers were Messrs. John Hayes, James Richards, Jeremiah Daley, Edward Burns, Patrick Kane and Bernard Luppold. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery, where Rev. Fr. Sullivan read the committal prayers. Undertakers James F. O'Donnell & Sons were in charge of arrangements.
