Woman Injured By Automobile
Mrs. Manate, of 21 Village street, was injured yesterday afternoon when she was struck by an automobile on the Lowell-Tewksbury boulevard. It is not known whether or not the woman's injuries are of a serious nature, for she refused to be taken to the hospital and was removed to her home.
The accident occurred at a point near the Wamesit railroad station, while the woman was pushing a handcraft in the road. The driver of the machine, Joseph Furtado of 38 Powell street, employed by M. J. Ribero & Co. of Central street, claims that the woman attempted to push her cart between his machine and another automobile going in the same direction, and was struck. The accident was reported to the police.
