ALBERT NEBES DEFEATED ELZEAR LANDRY BY FEW YARDS
Albert Nebes defeated Elzear Landry by a few yards last night in the roller skating race held at the Majestic rink in Centralville. The contest was close from start to finish and was anyone's race right up to the close.
Landry took the lead at the start but the two skaters kept on even terms for 33 laps. On the next lap Nebes forged to the front and then showed an excellent burst of speed and nearly tapped his opponent. This he later lost but then regained. At the finish, however, he was bur a few yards ahead of Landry.
The next race between those two skaters will take place Saturday night.
