Edward Benson, 12 years old, son of Councilman Benson, was caught in an elevator. He was taken in the ambulance at once to St. John's hospital.
His injuries are reported as a broken leg, broken arm, cut face, two thumbs cut off, and ear nearly torn off. He was conscious when taken from the elevator well.
His occupation was tacking tanned skins in the dyehouse. The many friends of Councilman Benson will sympathize with him in the accident of his son.
