The Arlington Advocate, 11 May 1883

On Wednesday the police made a descent on the Spy Pond House, and captured Mrs. Steinkrauss in the act of selling. She ran with her bottles in her hand, but was overtaken, and the liquor taken from her. A search revealed several gallons of whiskey, etc., and a lot of beer. They then went on to Michael Lane's, but all they found was twenty-one bottles Berlin beer.
