The Arlington Advocate, 3 August 1878
POLICE COURT |
The case of Michael Roach, fined last
week for an assault on Mrs. Butler,
was reopened last Wednesday, when the
complaint of Mr. Butler for damage to
his house caused by stones thrown by
Roach was under consideration. The
Butlers acknowledged satisfaction,
(Roach having paid all damages); he was
allowed to withdraw his appeal from the
fine of $15 and costs, and was finally
discharged on payment of costs in all
the business, amounting to $14.85.
Thursday afternoon Michael Lane was before the court charged with liquor selling. He waived an examination, and was held in $200 for appearance Saturday afternoon, Aug. 3. |
