One Barton, a negro, has just recovered $200 damages at
Lowell, Massachusetts, for being ejected on account of
his color, from a concert for which he had purchased a
ticket.

Mr. Joseph MOORE, of Somerville, Massachusetts, died
very suddenly a few days ago; a post mortem examination
revealed the fact of a tumor on the brain, caused by sun-
stroke, thirteen years ago.
