Brussels, Ontario, Canada

Brussels, Ontario, population 1000 is a village in Huron County. After the arrival of the Great Western Railway in 1872, a large number of mills and factories began operation. The population grew to almost 2000 by the end of the nineteenth century, but has declined considerably since. With its many examples of Queen Anne architecture, Brussels is known today as the prettiest village in Ontario.
