Moama, New South Wales, Australia

'Moama is across the river from the more important towns of Echuca, and has long been connected with that historic Victorian settlement. A punt river crossing was established here in the 1840s and the site grew up as a cattle market town. When Echuca became the terminus of the Melbourne railway line in 1864, the area developed rapidly, becoming Australia's largest inland port. Moama is now a popular holiday centre with some pleasant campsites and picnic spots along the banks of the Murray River.'
