     Alfred Spong was baptized on 16 March 1851 at St John the Baptist, Bisley, Surrey, England.1,2,3 He was the son of William Spong and Phoebe Chitty.1 Alfred Spong appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 at Queens Lane Cottages, Bisley, Surrey, England, as Son, age 9, birthplace Bisley, Surrey.4 He married Mary Ann Sayers, daughter of William Sayers and Amey (?), on 19 September 1874 at St John the Baptist, Woking, Surrey, England.5,2 Alfred Spong died on 22 September 1915 at Priory Stables, Frimley, Camberley, Surrey, England, at age 64; and his death was recorded at Farnham registration office in the September quarter 1915.6,7 He was buried on 27 September 1915 at St Peter, Frimley, Camberley, Surrey, England.8
