St Michael's Church Linlithgow
     Robert Mcculloch was born on 17 November 1800; according to his monumental inscription on the family grave in Linlithgow Churchyard.2,3,4,1 He was the son of Robert Mcculloch and Agnes Bowie.2,1 Robert Mcculloch was a 'Writer in Airdrie and a Procurator of the Sheriff Court at the Middle Ward of Lanark'. His name was not listed in Register of Members of the Signet. ' The expression 'writer' is often used in its generic sense to indicate the legal profession and so does not always signify membership of the WS society'. 'A procurator is a solicitor who pleads cases in the sheriff court'. The date precedes the Scottish Law list circa 1820.5,6,7,1 He died on 23 December 1829 at age 29; in Scotland and 'appears to have died young.8,9,10' He was buried at St Michael, Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland; Robert's monumental inscription on the family grave in St Michael's Linlithgow Churchyard reads as follows:

'325 (FS in front of 323) Robt McCulloch writer in Airdrie & a procurator of the sheriff court at the Middle Ward of Lanark b (17).11.1800 d (23).12.182 (9 or 2).2,11,12,13,14,9,1,10'

     George Culver was baptized on 26 June 1814 at All Saints, Fulham, London, England.1,2 He was the son of William Culver and Sarah Holden.1 George Culver married Elizabeth Fryer on 1 July 1839 at St Mary, Lambeth, London, England; and their marriage was registered in the September quarter 1838 at St Luke Middlesex Registration district.1,3,4 George Culver appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at Chelsea, London, England, as Head, age 56, birthplace Fulham, London.5 He appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 at 19 Smith Terrace, Chelsea, London, England, as Head, married, age 66, birthplace Fulham and he was a Road Labourer.6 He died on 25 April 1886 at Chelsea, London, England, at age 71; and his death was recorded at Chelsea Registration office in the June quarter 1886.1,7

She may have later recommended Helen Bowie [#349], for the job, as it appears to have been passed on to her Niece.4
