De Ruvigny's Roll of Honour, 1914-1919 records W H Sizmur 'died of wounds'. The British Journal of Nursing published the next month on 7 November 1914 describes the Hospital in detail and contains photographs of the building and staff.8,9,6,10,11 He was buried after 13 October 1914 at Addlestone Burial Ground, Addlestone, Surrey, England.8,12 He was commemorated as William Sizmur in the list of names on the Gate pillars at Addlestone War Memorial, Victory Park, Addlestone, Surrey, England.13,14
