      Michael Jacob Montague was also known as Michael Montague, Baron Montague of Oxford.2,3 He was born on 10 March 1932 at Middlesex, England; and his birth was recorded at Willesden Registration district in the June quarter 1932.1,4,5 He was the son of David Elias Abrahams and Eleanor Eve Staggs.1 Michael Jacob Montague was educated; at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe, and Magdalen College School, Oxford.2 He was a Businessman, Politician and Labour Party benefactor. He was the founder of Gatehill Beco Ltd in 1958 and managing director of Yale and Valor plc in 1963. He was chairman of Yale and Valor plc between 1965 and 1991. A full biography was published on The Times of London, England, after his death and in The Palgrave Dictionary of Anglo-Jewish History, By William D. Rubinstein.2,5,6,7 He was executor as Company Director with his mother, to his father on 8 July 1966.8 He was appointed a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in the Birthday Honours in 1970.2,9 He was listed in Who's Who. An annual biographical dictionary , New York: St. Martin's Press, Number 126 to 150 between 1974 and 1998.3 He was listed in The Blue Book. Leaders of the English-speaking world, New York, St. Martin's Press, and Who's Who in the World. Third edition, Wilmette, IL. in 1976.3 He was created a life peer on 1 November 1997.2 He died on 5 November 1999 at London, England, at age 67; and his death was recorded at Lambeth Registration district in November 1999, after collapsing in the House of Lords.4,10,11,5 He was the subject of an obituary in the Daily Times (USA) 6 November 1999 and 8 November 1999 in The Times (London, England) and The Independent by Nicholas Faith.12,5,13 His estate was probated on 25 July 2000; at Newcastle Upon Tyne Registry.10

      Jane (?) was also known as Jeanie.1 Her married name was Mendelsohn.2 She was born circa 1869.3 She married Joseph Mendelsohn, son of Louis Mendelsohn and Leah Jones Levason, circa 1889.2 Jane (?) died on 25 November 1950 at New Zealand.3,4 She was buried on 27 November 1950 at Southern Cemetery, Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand; in the plot of Walter Mendelshon, who was her brother-in-law as wife of his brother Joseph.3

      Her married name was Goodwin.3 Leah Josephine Emanuel was born in 1905 at New Zealand.1 She was the daughter of Abraham Isaac Emanuel and Bertha Mendelsohn.1 Leah Josephine Emanuel was the subject of a 'Kitchen Evening' reported in the Press as a 'bride-to-be' on 29 January 1929.4 She was the subject of a 'Cup and Saucer Evening' reported in the Press as a 'bride-to-be' on 12 February 1929.5 She married Dr Donald Joseph Goodwin on 19 March 1930 at Whangarei, New Zealand; and she was described in the Press as 'Leah Josephine, younger daughter of Mrs B Emanuel and the late Mr A I Emanuel, of Dunedin'. He was described as 'Dr Donald Joseph, youngest son of Mr and Mrs H Goodwin, Bellevue Hill, Sydney.3,4,2' Leah Josephine Emanuel was the Hon. Secretary of the Whangarei Branch of the Plunket Society for many years approximately between 1936 and 1947.6 She expressed thanks in the Press on the bereavement of her husband's death on 22 June 1948.7
