     Emily Catherine Egan was born on 4 June 1895 at West Ham, Essex, England; and her birth was recorded at West Ham Registration district in the September quarter 1895.1,2,3 She was the daughter of William Egan and Esther Jane Gutteridge.1 Emily Catherine Egan appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at 33 Bradley Street, West Ham, Essex, England, as Daughter, age 5, birthplace West Ham, Essex.1 She married Sidney Belcher on 15 April 1916 at St Bartholomew, East Ham, Essex, England; and their marriage was recorded at West Ham Registration district in the June quarter 1916. He was the son of Edward Belcher and she was the daughter of William Egan.4,5 Emily Catherine Egan and Sidney Belcher lived on 29 September 1939 at 41 Repton Avenue, Romford, Essex, England; where they were on the 1939 Register, when his occupation was given as '(Clerk Senior) Insurance, Fire Accident & General.6' Emily Catherine Egan died on 28 July 1972 at 61 Eldred Avenue, Brighton, Sussex, England, at age 77; and her death was recorded at Brighton Registration district in the September quarter 1972.2,7
