      Her married name was Norrington.1 Marguerite Putman was born circa 1917 at Flanders, Belgium; and it was reported in The Canadian Champion of 17 November 1978 that 'she says she comes from a long line of farmers. She is originally from Belgium, and says her family were Flemish farmers who grew, weaved and sold flax for many generations.1,2' She and Walter John Norrington met as was reported in The Canadian Champion of 17 November 1978, 'while he was overseas during the second world war and [she] came to Canada as a war bride, 32 years ago.2' Marguerite Putman married Walter John Norrington, son of Arthur Norrington and Florence Dayton, on 25 October 1945 at Parish Church, Waarschoot, Flanders, Belgium; and wedding announcements appeared in the Georgetown Herald on 31 October 1945 for Lc. Corp. Walter J. Norrington and the Canadian Champion on 8th November 1945: 'Walter John (Bus) Norrington, son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Norrington of Dundas, Ont., and nephew of Mr and Mrs W.T. Barnard, was married to Miss Margaret Putman...1,3,4,5,6,7' Marguerite Putman and Walter John Norrington lived between 1965 and 1968 at Halton, Ontario, Canada; where they appeared on the Canadian Voters Lists and his occupation was listed as Farmer.8 Marguerite Putman and Walter John Norrington were recorded in The Canadian Champion and the headline read 'World Rye Queen Two Years in a Row'. Under the accompanying photograph was the caption: 'Marguerite and Walter Norrington are shown with samples of their rye crop, which won the world championship at the Royal Winter Fair last week, for the second year in a row. Patricia 'has spent most of her early life in Dundas as well. However Pat. And husband, Peter Driscoll now live near Milton on their property on the Niagra Escarpment. It is quite close to the famous landmark, Rattlesnake Point, and was originally part of Pat's uncle Walter's farm. They have two children, Monica and Kevin.
