     Rebecca Jones was born circa 1828 at Norfolk, England.1 She was the daughter of James Isaiah Jones and Julia Levander.1 Rebecca Jones appeared on the census of 6 June 1841 at South Lynn, King's Lynn, Norfolk, England, as Rebc Jones, age 13, birthplace Norfolk.1 She married Alfred Isaac Jones in 1850 at Norwich, Norfolk, England; and their marriage as Alfred Isaac Jones Jacob and Rebecca Jones was recorded at Norwich Registration district in the September quarter 1850.2,3 Rebecca Jones appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 at Goodmans Fields, Whitechapel, Middlesex, England, as Rebecca Jones, Wife, age 20, birthplace Norfolk.2 She appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 at 132 Holborn Hill, Holborn, London, England, as Rebbkah Jones, Wife, age 32, 'birthplace Middlesex.4' She was executrix to her husband and the National Probate Calendar for 1865 records Alfred Isaac Jones was 'late of 132 Holborn-hill in the City of London Tobacconist' and Probate was 'proved at the Principal Registry by the oath of Rebecca Jones of 132 Holborn-hill aforesaid Widow the Relict the sole Executrix' on 17 October 1865.5 She appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at 132 Holborn Hill, Holborn, London, England, as Head, widowed, age 41, birthplace Lynn, Norfolk, and she was a Tobacconist.      Joseph Levason was born in 1862 at Luton, Bedfordshire, England; and his birth was recorded in the December quarter 1862 at Luton Registration district.1,2 He was the son of Montague Alex Levason Levason and Mary Ann Cooper.1 Joseph Levason appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at 2 Elizabeth Cottage, Essex Road, West Ham, Essex, England, as Son, age 8, birthplace Luton, Bedfordshire, and he was a Scholar.3 He appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 at 7 Harris Terrace, Hampstead, London, England, (Transcribed as Lawson) as Son, unmarried, age 18, birthpalce Luton, Beds., and he was a Clerk.4

He married Lizzie Sayers, daughter of Edwin Charles Sayers and Sarah Charlotte Clark, on 30 August 1890 at St Mary, Islington, London, England; and their marriage was registered at Islington Registration district in the September quarter 1890. Joseph was a 27 year old Clerk and Lizzie was a 24 year old Spinster, address for both: '9 Bilitha Villas'; their Banns already having been called on 27 July, 3 August and 10 August 1890.1,5,6

He was living with his Wife Lizzie.7 He appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at 3 Charteris Road, Willesden, Middlesex, England, as Head, married, age 38, birthplace Luton, Bedfordshire, and he worked as a Despatch Foreman. He was living with his wife Lizzie, children Alice and Montague, father Montague and brother Montague. Also in the building his mother-in-law Sarah Sayers had her own household.1 He appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at 92 Tennyson Road, Kilburn, Middlesex, England, as Head, married 20 years, age 48, birthplace Luton, Bedfordshire, and he was an Assistant Foreman Checker at Army and Navy Stores; the household also contained his Wife, Mother in Law, Brother Montague John Cecil Levason, Daughter and Niece Florence Maud Atkinson, age 14.8

Montague John Cecil Levason was baptized on 22 February 1882 at St Augustine, Kilburn, Middlesex, England; and the family were of 4 Cheltenham Villas, Maygrove Road.6,7

He appeared on the census of 5 April 1891 at Hereford House, Willesden, Middlesex, England, as Montague I C Levason, Son, age 9, birthplace Kilburn, Middlesex, and he was a Scholar.4 He appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at 3 Charteris Road, Willesden, Middlesex, England, as Montague I C/H Levason, Brother of Joseph Levason, single, age 19, birthplace Islington, London, and he worked as a Draper's Assistant.1 He lived in 1911 at 92 Tennyson Road, Kilburn, Middlesex, England; and he was recorded as a Wholesale Draper.8 He appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at 92 Tennyson Road, Kilburn, Middlesex, England, as Brother of Joseph Levason, age 29, single, birthplace West Hampstead, Middlesex, and he was a Warehouseman.9

He married Kate Koester, daughter of Christian Jochim Carl Koester and Janet Leighton, on 4 April 1912 at Middlesex, England; and their marriage was recorded at Willesden Registration district in the June quarter 1912.10,3

Rev. Montague John Cecil Levason and Kate Koester emigrated on 1 August 1913; 'The couple left England' sailing aboard the Empress of England 'and arrived in Quebec City, Quebec...and proceeded by train to Vancouver, British Columbia.3,11' Rev. Montague John Cecil Levason was the subject of files in The Archives Network of Alberta which provide the following information '...While playing organ at St. Paul’s Church in Vancouver, Levason heard the Bishop of Athabasca, the Right Reverend Edwin Frederick Robins, appeal to men to serve at the Peace River missions. In April of 1917, Levason and his family arrived at St. Peter’s Mission, Lesser Slave Lake, Alberta where Levason worked as principal and teacher as well as being a lay reader. The Levasons remained there until 1922 when they and new daughter Kitty Madeleine (born August 13, 1918) returned to Vancouver. Levason attended the Anglican Theological College, graduating in 1925. The Levasons then returned to the Peace River country, to St Andrew’s at Lake Saskatoon. The family moved to Ontario in 1928. M.J.C. ...3' He appeared on the census of 1926 at Peace River, Alberta, Canada, as John Levason, Head, married, age 45, birthplace England. His wife and two children completed the household.12 He was a Priest between 1938 and 1941 at Trinity Anglican Church, Wolf Island, Wolford, Grenville, Ontario, Canada.13 He and Kate Koester lived in 1945 at Frankville, Leeds, Ontario, Canada; and they appeared on the Voters List as M J C Levason, rector, and Mrs M J C Levason.14 Rev. Montague John Cecil Levason was Assistant Priest in 1952 at St George's Anglican Church, 1101 Stanley Street, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.13,5 He died on 30 March 1952 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at age 70.3 He was buried after 30 March 1952 at St Anne's Anglican Cemetery, Easton's Corners, Wolford, Grenville, Ontario, Canada.15,16,17,18

He was the subject of an obituary in The Gazette, Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 1 April 1952.19 He was commemorated in a reference by Glenn J Lockwood in A history of the Parish of Kitley [Ontario, Canada]: marking the 100th anniversary of building St Paul's Anglican Church, Newbliss in 1904 and published in 2004:- 'In 1940 The Rev. C Lesley Harding was followed in the parish of Kitley as a priest by the Rev. Herbert Bruce Snell. Snell was replaced in April 1942 by the Rev. John Montague Cecil Levason who in turn gave way to the Rev. Stanley Kerrison.20'

     Isaiah Edward Alex was born in 1841 at Gloucestershire, England; and his birth was registered in the June quarter 1841 at Cheltenham Registration district.1,2 He was the son of Montague Alex and Belinda Jones.1 Isaiah Edward Alex appeared on the census of 6 June 1841 at High Street, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, as Son, age five weeks, birthplace Gloucestershire.1 He died on 5 July 1841 at Gloucestershire, England; and his death was recorded in the September quarter 1841 at Cheltenham Registration district.3,4 He was the subject of an obituary /death notice published in The Worcestershire Chronicle 'July 5th, at 90, High-street, Cheltenham, aged three months, Isaiah Edward, son Mr. Montague Alex'. on 4 August 1841.4

     William Levason was born on 12 October 1864 at Luton, Bedfordshire, England; and his birth was recorded at Luton Registration district in the December quarter 1864.1,2,3 He was the son of Montague Alex Levason Levason and Mary Ann Cooper.1 William Levason appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at 2 Elizabeth Cottage, Essex Road, West Ham, Essex, England, as Son, age 6, birthplace Luton, Bedfordshire, and he was a Scholar.1 He appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 at 199 Sloane Street, Chelsea, London, England, as Porter, unmarried, age 17, birthplace 'Newton, Beds', which appears to be a millinery establishment.4,5

He lived in 1888 at Ranikhet, Bengal, India; whilst serving as a Sergeant.6 He lived in 1890 at Calcutta, Bengal, India; and he was an Army Sergeant.6 He married Mary Agnes Hughes in 1898 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England; and their marriage was recorded at Liverpool Registration office in the June quarter 1898.7

William Levason married Teannille Drummond circa 1900.8 William Levason and Teannille Drummond may have been the Mr & Mrs Levason recorded as UK incoming passengers sailing on the British Steam Navigation Company Limited's Gloconda from Calcutta, India, arriving at London, England, described as English Lady and Gent on 17 April 1906.9 William Levason appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at 62 Buller Road, Thornton Heath, Croydon, Surrey, England, as Head, married 11 years, age 46, birthplace Luton, Bedfordshire, and he was an unemployed Pensioner of the Indian Army.10

He was executor for his Wife and the National Probate Calendar for 1939 contains the following entry:

'Levason Jennie Drummond of 62 Buller-road Thornton Heath Surrey (wife of William Levason)...Administration London 13 January to the said William Levason retired engineers valuer.11' He lived on 29 September 1939 at Hamilton Road, Willesden, Middlesex, England; where he was recorded on the 1939 Register as widowed, occupation Retired 'Engineer's Valuer.3' He died on 24 October 1950 at London, England, at age 86; and his death was recorded at Willesden Registration district in the December quarter 1950.12,11 His estate was probated; and The National Probate Calendar of 1950 reads 'Levason William of 37 Hamilton-road Dollis Hill London N.W.10...Administration London 5 December to Montague Alex Levason dentist.11'
