She was a 'Watercolour landscape artist and a member of the Ipswich Fine Art Club 1920-1925 and exhibited five works 1920-1921, mostly local views and a study of Kew Gardens, London from their home at Walber House, Walberswick, Suffolk.16' She appeared on the census of 19 June 1921 at Paddington, London, England, as born in 1877 at Paddington, London.17 Google books contains the following reference: The Women's Who's who Page 291: 'Quarry Bank. Staffs. MYER, Elsie, do: Samuel Montague 1st Bare Swaythling. m: Reginald Myer. s: 2. d: 2. Me; of one of the 1st Women's Cricket Clubs. ...' Her daughter Shiela Conrad later recalled both her parents were 'extremely athletic' and her mother 'was reserve for England at hockey and she and Auntie Marnie belonged to one of the first hockey clubs...18,19'
