Mass., March 2, 1816. Son of Rufus Bullock; married to Elvira Hazard; father of Fanny Bullock Workman (famous
mountain climber). Lawyer; newspaper editor; member of Massachusetts state house of representatives, 1845-49,
1862-64; member of Massachusetts state senate, 1849; mayor of Worcester, Mass., 1858; Governor of Massachusetts,
1866-69. Died in Worcester, Worcester County, Mass., January 17, 1882. Interment at Lawrence Brook Cemetery,
Royalston, Mass.
