District, 1933-39; delegate to Republican National Convention from New Hampshire, 1936, 1940; U.S. Senator from New
Hampshire, 1939-53; died in office 1953. Died in the Bethesda Naval Hospital at Bethesda, Montgomery County, Md.,
July 24, 1953. Interment at Miller Cemetery, Temple, N.H.
