Guild, Curtis, Jr. (1860-1915) — of Massachusetts. Born in Boston, Suffolk County, Mass., February 2, 1860. Republican. Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts, 1903-06; colonel in the U.S. Army during the Spanish-American War; Governor of Massachusetts, 1906-09; candidate for Republican nomination for Vice President, 1908; U.S. Ambassador to Russia, 1911-13. Member, Freemasons. Died April 6, 1915. Interment at Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain, Boston, Mass.
