Goldthwaite, George Thomas (1809-1879) — of Alabama. Born in Boston, Suffolk County, Mass., December 10, 1809. Great-grandfather of George G. Seibels, Jr.. Democrat. Circuit judge in Alabama, 1843-52; associate justice of Alabama state supreme court, 1852-56; U.S. Senator from Alabama, 1871-77. Died in Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, Ala., March 16, 1879. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Ala.
