Gaston, William, Jr. (b. 1896) — of New Canaan, Fairfield County, Conn. Born in Boston, Suffolk County, Mass., Nov. 12, 1896. Son of William Alexander Gaston. Democrat. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War I; lawyer; playwright; candidate for U.S. Representative from Connecticut 4th District, 1948. Protestant.
