Coolidge, Thomas Jefferson (1831-1920) — also known as T. Jefferson Coolidge — Born in Boston, Suffolk County, Mass., August 26, 1831. Great-grandson of Thomas Jefferson; grandson of Thomas Mann Randolph; son-in-law of William Appleton. President of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, and other companies; U.S. Minister to France, 1892-93. Died in Boston, Suffolk County, Mass., November 17, 1920. Cremated; ashes interred at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Mass.
