Fisk, James (1763-1844) — of Barre, Washington County, Vt. Born in Greenwich, Hampshire County, Mass., October 4, 1763. Grandfather-in-law of David Olmsted. Democrat. Member of Massachusetts state legislature, 1785; member of Vermont state house of representatives, 1800; state court judge in Vermont, 1802; U.S. Representative from Vermont, 1805-09, 1811-15 (3rd District 1805-09, 1811-13, at-large 1813-15); justice of Vermont state supreme court, 1815; U.S. Senator from Vermont, 1817-19. Died November 17, 1844. Interment at Church Street Cemetery, Swanton, Vt.
