deMille, Cecil Blount (1881-1959) — also known as Cecil B. deMille — of Hollywood, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, Calif. Born in Ashfield, Franklin County, Mass., August 12, 1881. Son of Henry Churchill deMille and Beatrice (Samuel) deMille; married, August 16, 1902, to Constance Adams; uncle of Agnes deMille (choreographer); father-in-law of Anthony Quinn (actor). Republican. Delegate to Republican National Convention from California, 1936, 1944. Actor and theatrical manager 1900-12; director and producer of over 70 films from 1913 to 1959, including two versions of The Ten Commandments (1923 and 1956); co-founder of the company that became known as Paramount Pictures. Died in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, Calif., January 21, 1959. Interment at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Calif.
