Field, Clarence Everett, physician, military surgeon, writer, of 742 Lefferts Ave., Richmond Hill, L.I., N.Y., was born, Taunton, Mass., 1870; son ,of Albert and Maria L. (Combes) Field; educated in N.Y. City schools, N.Y. Univ. (college), 1887-1889; N.Y. Univ. Med. Coll., M.D., 1891; post-grad. course at Bellevue Hosp., N.Y. City; married, N.Y. City, Nov. 30, 1894, Clara M. Feltt; children : Gladys L., born Dec. 2, 1895; Albert Everett, born Jan. 2, 1898. In Chilean Government Service, 1892; commended in Med. Service of Army with rank as major in Feb., 1907; commended captain Nat. Vol. Emergency Service, U.S. Med. Dept. Special research work during six years, 1902-1908, in life work and history of Napoleon—Lecture on same, with 200 valuable slides. Democrat; Methodist. Mem. Queens Co. Med. Soc., Nassau Co. Med.
