Barker, James Madison (1839-1905) — of Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Mass. Born in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Mass., October 23, 1839. Republican. Lawyer; member of Massachusetts state house of representatives, 1872-73; superior court judge in Massachusetts, 1882; delegate to Republican National Convention from Massachusetts, 1880; justice of Massachusetts state supreme court, 1891-1905. Died in 1905.
