The Berkshire County GenWeb is devoted to gathering and providing data for genealogical and historical researchers that pertains to Berkshire County, Massachusetts. There is no charge for this information and all data has been gathered by volunteers like myself.

Examples of donations include scanned copies of obituaries, a cemetery transcription, tombstone photos, scans of old yearbooks, copies of old letters, biographies, birth, death and marriage records, photos of local places and people. If you have data for other counties or states, please visit the US GenWeb site. From there you can contact the appropriate State Coordinator to arrange your donation.

There is another way that you can help the USGenWeb Project. Please offer to "Adopt" a county and serve as its county coordinator. Basic web skills are necessary, but we will help you to help us! You don't have to live in the county you adopt. Most volunteers adopt a county because it holds a personal or historical interest to them. I don't live in Berkshire County but I'm researching in this county.
