(History from Thomas Perkins: "Caroline Lewis
was living with her younger sister Martha Ann and her husband David A. Pittman
in 1860 in Jackson Township, Crittenden County (Blackfish). She first married a
Mr. Cook and then married John W. Roman. She had two daughters, Cash and Mary
Roman. They lived in the Gibson Bayou area on Highway 149 north of Earle, just
east of the junction with Highway 42. Caroline died before 1870. Cash married
James Wesley “Bud” Hood, and they had four children: Febia, Kate, Charlie and
Vernon. Cash died young, we believe on or before 1870. Cash, Bud and her son
Charlie are buried in the Hood family cemetery just west of the junction of
Highway 149 and Highway 42. Bud later married Esther Carter. Mary married
George Washington Hays. They lived in the Tyronza area. Mary died young after
being injured in a horse accident, breaking both legs and crippling herself.
George W. later married Esther Carter Hood’s sister.")

Memphis of Pernicious Anemia. She was born in Cherry Valley, the daughter of
William Robinson who was born in Earle, and Jennie Thursday who was born in
Gilmore. She was age 38 yrs, 2 mos, and 12 days. The informant was her husband,
J. R. Hood of Earle. She was buried at Earle by Holt & Sons.)

Memphis on Feb 11, 1950. He was born Apr 18, 1890 in Earle and was 59 years old
at the time of his death. He was a farmer and resided at Box 553, Earle. He
died of cardiac decompensation due to hypertensive cardiovascular disease,
cardiac enlargement, myocardial insufficiency, class IV. Other conditions
included cerebral arteriosclerosis with psychosis. He was buried at Earle by
Holt Funeral Home on Feb 17, 1950.)

born at Earle and was buried at Earle by Holt Funeral Home on Jan 14, 1952. He
was married, but name of spouse was not listed.)
