Subject: [lghc] Two Marie Corporon sent to Maryland&& &&&&& In Wood's Acadians in Maryland there are two Marie Corporon. The first is on pg 183. She is with Francois Simonet (Simoneau) by the 1769 Cabahannocer censuses. Listed as Anne in Oxford Census. SAW Dictionaire pg 415 as Marie daughter of Martin Corporon & Marie-Josephe Vigor. (My line) The one I am interested in is the second one. Everything on the web has her with the same parents(/same person?). On pg 186 she is wife of Honore Trahan. They are some of the Acadians from the Briticanna that walk across to Texas to Natchitoches in 1769 & settle in Opelousas by 1777 census. Their daughter Marie marries Antoine Belar (Belard, Bellard), from Picarie(y) France, about 1766 & has a two year old son in Texas. Does anyone have the childs baptism or blessing of their marriage? Do you think they were done in Texas? I am interested in Marie Corporon parents but would also like Honores? Paul BELLARD, Antoine m. Marie TRAHAN.
