Antoine LaRocque writer for the King of France was the son of Philippe LaRocque, consul of the town of Trie, and Madeleine de Boisjoly, of the town of Notre-Dame de Trie. This village is in the Diocese of Auch in what is now know as the Pyrenee Atlantique in the old province of Languedoc. 
Antoine LaRocque married Catherine Guillemot in Quebec City on December 2nd 1752.  Catherine Guillemot, was the daughter of  Mathurin Guillemot and Marguerite Maret. She was born in 1716. Catherine Guillemot married in first wedding Alexis Sauvageau.. Madame La Rocque had among her ancestor, Marguerite Martin, daughter of  Abraham Martin (  who left his nam to the plains of Abraham) and who was baptized  January 4th1624, was the first Canadian to be born in this Canada. 

Antoine and Catherine Guillemot had 4 children all born in  Québec;

François-Antoine b. on 23 Sept 1753.
Louise b. 10 April 1755 s. 23 April.
Marie-Madeleine, b. 26 October 1756 s. 19 January 1760.
Joseph b. 17 July 1758 and s. 21 July. (4 days) 

Only François-Antoine will live to become an adult.
 

François-Antoine La Rocque became one of L'Assomption's most flourishing inhabitant.  It was one of the oldest village and most prosperous on the St-Lawrence River North Shore.   M. La Rocque died there in  1790 at the age 70.  When he died  the  "Quebec Herald"  wrote that «  There were more then 30 horse drawn carriages at his funerals, the most important ever seen in L'Assomption. »
 He became a member of parlement in the first Canadian Gouvernment in 1792.

François Antoine  followed his parent to  L'Assomption; and was also a  marchant. He married Angélique Leroux, April 23rd 1781, daughter of Germain Leroux marchant in the same place and Catherine Vallée (or Lavallée). The marriage contract was donne in the study of notaire Courvile on the 15 th of April. The witness at the wedding were Toussaint Potier and Jean-Joseph Taupin. Also present was, Nicolas Massue, his uncle, Benjamin Leroux, brother, and Joseph Vigneau, friend and witness of the bride. The bride's parents give her as a wedding gift six thousand shelling and the groom three thousand. On July 17th 1786, François Antoine bought from Louis Ganion, of  Saint-Roch, a part of land located on River l'Achigan. This piece of land cost him 800 shelling paid cash.  He will be elected to the Legislative Assembly to represent the county of  Leinster June 11th 1792 but he died in l'Assomption on the following October 31st  before he could attend any cession of the gouvernment.  His son also named  François-Antoine was an Explorer ot the American North West. He can read the story of his adventure in "Journal of LaRoque from the Assiniboine to the Yellowstone". The state of Wyoming describes him as the first Europeen to have seet foot in this state.

-Born in Trie-sur-Baise, on July 19 1662.
-Married to Magdeleine De Boisjoly, on February 18 1697.
We know two sons and one daughter from this union.

ANTOINE LARROQUE

-Born in Trie, May 18 1698.
-He was the god father of his brother Jean-Antoine Larroque.

2. JEAN-ANTOINE LARROQUE (The Canadian Ancestor)

 -Born in Trie, on March 24 1718. His God Father was his brother Antoine and his God Mother his sister Jeanne-Marie.
-He arrives in Québec City in 1750 as writer of the King (notaire).
-He married Catherine Guillemot, daughter of Mathurin Guillemot and Marguerite Maret, in Québec City on December 2 1752.(See the marriage act)
-He became a trader/dealer in Saint-Pierre-du-Portage (now L'Assomption Qc) in 1768.
-Jean-Antoine died on September 7 1790 
-4 children were born from this union and only one survived, François-Antoine La Rocque.

3. FRANÇOIS-ANTOINE LA ROCQUE

-Born in Québec City and baptized at Notre-Dame cathedral on September 23 1753. Like his father he went into business. He acquired a farm on L'Achigan River and in 1786 he is granted 200 acres of land in the township of Rawdon north of Montreal. 
-He married Angélique Leroux (daughter of Germain Leroux d'Esneval and Catherine Lavallée) in L'Assomption, on April 23 1781.
-He was a negociant (trader/dealer), like his father.
-On June 11 1792, he is elected as member of parlement for the county of Leinster (Now L'Assomption), during the first election for the Parliament of Lower-Canada.
-Sick he died in L'Assomption on October 31 1792, at age 39 before he could sit at the parliament.
-They had 3 children:
i. Joseph-Félix, Voyageur and fur trader, died in Ottawa December first 1866 without descendance.  read more on Joseph-Félix LaRocque

4. FRANÇOIS-ANTOINE LA ROCQUE

-Born in L'Assomption on August 19, 1784.
-He does fur trading with his brother Joseph-Félix for the Company of Nord-Ouest.
-Took part in the war of 1812-1815 as a capitaine in the Milice d'Élite incorporated.
-He married Émilie Cotté, daughter of Gabriel Cotté (a fur baron) and of Archange Blondeau, on January 26 1818.
-Arrested as a patriote, even if it doesn't seem like he took part in the revolution of 1837-38.
-Died in St-Hyacinthe May first 1869, at the age of 87 ans. (Read more on FRANÇOIS-ANTOINE LA ROCQUE in French)
-He had only one son, François-Alfred-Chartier La Rocque.

5. FRANÇOIS-ALFRED-CHARTIER LA ROCQUE

-Born in Montréal, on Septembre 14 1819.
-His God Father was the righ honorable Chartier de Lotbinière.
-Became lawer in 1840.
-Married Marie-Amélie Berthelet, only daughter of the honorable Antoine-Olivier Berthelet and Marie-Émélie Chaboillez, on September 22 1841.
-They had ten children of which three survived:

- François-Alfred-Chartier La Rocque was the first Europeen to explore the American North-West and Wyoming (Grolier). He left his story in "Journal of LaRoque from the Assiniboine to the Yellowstone". -Founded the Saving Bank with Mgr. Bourget in 1846. He became it's president from 1852 to 1855 and from 1861 to 1865.
-His wife, Marie-Émile died in Paris April 2 1856.
-He remarried with Léocadie Boucher, widdow of notaire Patrice Lacombe, on September 17 1867. She wil die on February 20 1894.
-He died in St-Hyacinthe on July 12 1890. A street in Montréal (Pointe-aux-Trembles Rivière-des-Prairies) was named after him March 10, 1982.

6. ALFRED LA ROCQUE

-Born in Montréal on November 8 1845.
-He studied and travel in Europe.
-On February 12 1867, he enrole the the Popes protection army (Zouaves Pontifical).
-On November 3 1867, he his injured in Mentana.
-He received a gold medal from Bene Merenti and made Chevalier de l'Ordre of Pius IX by his holiness the pope Pius IX on February 14 1868.
-He married Catherine Kinton, daughter of captain Kinton and Jane Morrison on November 8 1870. She married in second wedding with Sir Louis-Hyppolite Lafontaine in 1861. Elle est décédée le 29 avril 1886. -They had 4 children: 
i.Marie-Jeanne-Amélie, ii. Alfred, iii.Marie-Laure-Julie and 
iv. Marie-Thérèse.
-In1885, as captain in the 65th bataillon of the Fusiliers Mont-Royal, he does the campaign of the North-West.
-He is promoted to the Order of Pius IX, with heriditary title.
-He died in Montréal, on April 21 1905.

7. ALFRED LA ROCQUE

-Born in Montréal on June 3 1874.
-He become ingineer in 1897.
-He married Emma Magnan, daughter of Alfred Magnan and Marie-Louise Poirier, on October 4 1912 in Westmount. She died on November 23 1958.
-In 1919, for the signature of the treaty of Versailles, the representative of the Canadian gouvernment the honorable C.-J.Doherty, wrote his signature beside his with a personnal seal bearing the arms of the La Rocque family. This seal was lent to him by Madame Armand La Rocque, aunt of Alfred LaRocque, for this usage.
-he died in Montréal, on July 11 1967.
-They had four children: 

i. Alfred, born April 4 1913 (three children: Philippe, Alfred and Madeleine), 
ii. François, born March 9 1915 (four children: Louise, Marc, Pierre and Gisèle), 
iii. Antoine, born on March 5 1918 (three children: Olivier, Danielle and François) and 
iv. Louis-Joseph, born on April 8 1920 (two children: Francine and Jacques).
