These pages began for the purpose of giving the genealogy of the
Krumwiede Family of Iroquois County, Illinois. In researching sources for
information about the family and its major sub-divisions, I found it
necessary to divide the files into several distinct parts: Descendants of
J�rgen Heinrich Krumwiede and Kath. Maria Buchholz, the Hilgendorfs, the
Hartkes, the Luhrsens and Descendants of Ulrich Eden Theesfeld. In
addition you will find the Descendants of Jann Janssen Theesfeld, my
mother's family, which also intersects with the family of Ulrich Eden
Theesfeld.
A heartfelt plea to people in my family and others from Buckley and
the surrounding area: If you have visited these pages, I would really
appreciate hearing from you. Please

No -- I didn't know that!
Know what? I don't know as much as you think I do! Several times a
year a person has said to me, "But I just figured you knew
that."
The reason I don't know things people think I know is because of when we
moved away from Buckley -- when I was 14. This is the age at which you
probably started paying real attention to the actual relationships in the
families. I never figured out those things because I wasn't around for the
weddings and babies and parties that made these things clear to others as
they grew up.
If you know of a cousin marriage I haven't found, or if you know that two
people in these files are brothers or sisters and I don't show them to be
related, PLEASE tell me.
