This file contains a set of names, locations, and dates pertaining to the Trafalgar/Seneca/Muskoka Boyd family and related families. The primary purpose is to facilitate the search for the Irish roots of our Canadian Boyd ancestors, James Boyd and his two brothers, Robert Boyd and David Boyd. We have been looking for years without success, so we are trying another strategy, which is to trace the roots of people who were closely related to these Boyds in hopes that someone among them might have a lead where to look in Ireland. We hope that people who see a possible connection will contact us. They can help us reach our objectives and in many cases we will be able to help them with their family trees. We also hope that people will share their anecdotes and legends about their families and ancestors. Most of all, we fondly hope that there is somebody out there who has some information that might tell us exactly where the three BOYD brothers were born and who their parents were - or at least have some ideas where exactly to look. For example, someone related to the Irish-born MCCLELLANDS or WARNOCKS or LOCKHARTS of this family may know something that might provide a clue to the origins of the Irish BOYD brothers.
