Vermilion Parish Published Resources

and Look-up Volunteers

Listed below are many of the Vermilion Parish books and CDs that are available, although certainly not all. If you own any Vermilion Parish books or resources, and will do look-ups, please contact Leslie Stewart-Chambers. As you can see, volunteers are needed, and we can use more than one volunteer per book.

Feel free to request a look-up from the following books. Please limit your request to one name per request. Please put Vermilion Parish Look-up in the subject line of your request to insure the message is not overlooked or accidentally deleted. In the first line of the message please put the name of the book you are requesting the lookup in.

If you request a lookup, don't forget to thank your volunteer for their time.

I am an amateur genealogist presently researching my father's side of
the family which has its roots in Gueydan and Abbeville.  As I live in the
Washington DC area, I wanted to offer my services if you might need
information  from either the National Archives or Library of Congress.  I
can perform lookup services or obtain hardcopy portions of the census.
Perhaps even a few items that I may have overlooked.  Anyway I will assist
where I can.
