Military Cross Bestowals
Our chapter bestowed the UDC Cross of Military Service to Henry Flood Madison Garrett, M.D. for his service during the Korean Conflict 14 Mar 1951 to 9 Jul 1954 as LTJC, United States Navy.
Also bestowed with UDC National Defense Medal was James Pierce Madison who served in the Korean Conflict as 2nd Lt in the Army USAF Infantry 12 Aug 1955 to 12 Aug 1957.
Both men, Bastrop residents, were honored for their mutual great grandfather, John Flood Madison, who served as a private of Scott's Company Reserve Corps, Louisiana Infantry, Confederate States Army.
