Newellton, Dec 21 (Special)
-Thomas Jefferson Warren, 69, died at his home here today after
a brief illness. Death was attributed to a heart ailment.
He was a farmer of the Winter Quarters community and had
resided in Tensas Parish for 40 years. He was a member of the
Methodist Church and the Masonic lodge.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Union Church
here with Rev. Fulton McGraw officiating. Burial will be in
the Legion Memorial Cemetery, Newellton, with Masonic rites
at the graveside.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rosie Warren; two sons,
Thomas D., Baton Rouge; Robert W., Ferriday; four daughters,
Mrs. Jack P. Miller, Chicago; Mrs. Bill Howard, Vicksburgh,
Miss.; Mrs. Jess Hendrickson, Snohomish, Wash.; one brother,
J.M. Warren, Newellton; two sisters, Mrs. Will Poe, Newellton;
Mrs. Lewis Kifer, St. Joseph; 14 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Doyle, T.T. Hargrove, Frank Burnside,
Tom Watts, Ed McDonald, Sr., G.A. Day, L.F. McClain, and H.C.
Lang.
