AMERICAN CEMETERY



The American Cemetery is located on Second Street near the entrance to Northwestern State University. Located on a rolling hill, the cemetery has many shade trees, flowering trees and shrubs. Graveled driveways wind throughout the cemetery. Parking is also available across the street, courtesy of the nearby Holy Cross Church.

Marrs of Kentucky. At the age of 3 years, she lost both of her parents and was adopted by an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. John Stone of Canton, Mississippi. Caledonia Cornelia Marrs was educated at the Nazareth Academy of Bardstown. . . in 1848, married the late J.M.B. Tucker. To this union nine children were born, six of whom survive: Beverly, John M. of Shreveport (LA), Mrs. Ernest Hertzog of St. Louis, Jas. B., Callie M., and Lily Maud. She is survived by two grandsons, Ernest and John Hertzog of St. Louis.
