All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Wilson-Yerger Wedding - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 2, 1916 Wilson-Yerger The marriage of Miss Mary Yerger, of Tallulah, La, and Mr. Benjamin F. Wilson, of Alexandria, La., was quietly solemnized at the home of the bride's brother, Mr. C. D. Yerger, of Vicksburg, Miss., Wednesday, November 22. Only immediate relatives of the family were present. The beautiful home of Mr. and Mrs. Yerger was exquisitely decorated in southern smilax, ferns, and blooming geraniums. The ceremony occurred promptly at four o'clock. Preceded by the matron of honor, Mrs. W. D. Ziegler of Tallulah, came the bride upon the arm of her brother, Dr. W. P. Yerger, of Mound, La. The bride was exquisitely gowned in a traveling suit of green cloth and furs, and carried a shower boquet of white carnations and maidenhair ferns. The popular minister, Rev. Braem, performed the marriage rites. God's presence was felt so strongly when their hands were joined, and the sweet and tender ring service was said. After delicious refreshments had been served the happy bridal party left on the westbound train. Friends boarded the train at various stations and showered them with rice. When they reached Tallulah a party was waiting for them with congratulations,and rice! Mr. and: Mrs. Wilson will reside in Alexandria, La. Mr. Wilson is connected with the Continental Gin Co., of Alabama. The bride is a popular little a lady of Tallulah. May God wonderfully bless their lives is the wish of their many friends.
