Miss Smitha is one of Tallulah's most popular young ladies and has a large number of friends here and in adjoining parishes, where she has been socially prominent. The wedding was one of great interest due to the popularity of the young folks concerned. The groom is a native of this state, but since his graduation three years ago from the State University he has been engaged in the sugar business in Porta Rico. Having prospered in his new home, he made a flying trip to Tallulah and succeeded in taking back with him one of Madison's fairest daughters. Notwithstanding the short period that intervened between the announcement and the wedding the church was filled with friends of the young couple. Mr. Mason Spencer was best man and Miss Barbra Smitha was bride maid. Immediately following then ceremony the couple left for their future home in Porta Rica, making the trip via New York. The Journal joins a host of friends in congratulations and best wishes.
