F. McGehee, which occurred at the Methodist Church on Friday, the 14th of September, Rev. Mr. D. C. Barr officiating. Before the bridal party arrived two beautiful songs were sung by Miss Retta Brooks in a sweet contralto voice, "I Love You Truly" and "A Dream." She was accompanied by Miss Genevieve Berger on the organ and Mr. Will Harvey, Jr., on the violin and Mr. La Grone, the flute. Miss Berger p!ayed Mendelssohn's wedding march as the bridal party entered the aisle. The ushers were Mr. John L. Murray and Mr. Andrew L. Sevier. The groom entered with his best man, Mr. Chas. Whittington, first cousin of the groom. Then came the maid of honor, Miss Bessie Johnson, sister of the bride. Misses Lillian and Ella Johnson were bridesmaids and the flower girls were Charlotte Johnson, Virginia Johnson and Vertner Sevier. The bride entered on the arm of her father, Mr. N. D. Johnson. The bride wore a handsome tailored suit with hat to match. The attendants were dressed in white organdy and pink trimmings as also the flower girls. The church was decorated by friends of the bride under the direction of Mrs. Chas. Coltharp, the colors in the decoration being pink and green. The happy couple departed on a wedding trip to Jackson, Miss., and New Orleans, and to Monticello, Miss., to visit the parents of the groom. On their return they will be at the home at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Johnson. M. B. Y.
