Young - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 3, 1975 Funeral services for Martin T. Young were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Shields officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Young was a native of Canton, Miss. and a resident of Tallulah for 58 years. Before retirement he was an entomologist at the Tallulah Experiment Station Mr. Young was a former member of the American Rose Society, the ----- Iris Society, the New Orleans ----- Society, the Museum of Natural History Society and the American Society for the Advancement of Science. He was a charter member of the ----- Society, a member of the Louisiana Hemicallis Society, the National Geographical Society, the Brooklyn Botanical Society and the Mississippi State Development CVLU. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and a patron Excellence of the Mississippi State Development Club. Survivors include one daughter, Miss Alice Young of Tallulah; three brothers, H. C. Young, of Floralla, Ala., A J. Young of Sartartia, Miss., W. S. Young of Brookhaven, Miss.; three sisters, Miss Lavinia Young of Tallulah, Miss Annie Mae Young and Miss Ruth Young, both of Crest View, Fla. Pallbearers were M. C. Stone, Alcus Maxwell, Clay Crawford, Charles Weeks, Carneal Woodyear and Jack Millikin.
