All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mr. William Yerger, Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 2, 1979 Funeral services for Mr. William Yerger, Sr., 67, of Tallulah will be t 10 a.m. Thursday, in the Trinity Episcopal Church in Tallulah with Father Joel Treadwell officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under direction of Crothers Funeral. Mr. Yerger died Tuesday night in Mercy Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg after a short illness. He was born in Delta and was a long time resident of Madison Parish. He was a prominent planter and farmer and active in many agricultural affairs. Mr. Yerger was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dora Yerger of Tallulah; one son William Yerger, Jr.; of Tallulah; three daughters Miss Dorothy S. Yerger of New Orleans, Mrs. Eloise Yerger Wall and Mrs. Jeanne Yerger Lee, both of Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be Jake Bryant, Jim Gilfoil, Ted Ivey, Jack Millikin, Tommy Bishop, Phillip Scurria, Sr., Phillip Scurria, Jr., and Ed Yerger Jr. The family requests that donations be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or any other charity in lieu of flowers.
