Yerger Madison Parish, LA From The Tallulah Madison Journal (LA), July 15, 1938 Mrs. J. C. Yerger Passes Away At Home Thursday Mrs. Jeanette C. Yerger, for many years a resident of Madison parish, passed away Thursday morning at 12:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. M. Murphy in Tallulah. At the time of her death Mrs. Yerger was 86 years of age and had been confined to her bed by ill health for the past three years. She was the mother of the late W. R. Spann and is survived by her daughter, Mrs. W. M. Murphy, of Tallulah. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the Methodist Church, Rev. D. W. Poole, officiating. During the latter years of her life Mrs. Yerger made her home alternately with her son, Mr. Spann, before his death several years ago at Shreveport, and her daughter, Mrs. Murphy here. Interment was in the Silver Cross cemetery.
