All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Chester Duncan Yerger - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post February 9, 1943 CHESTER YERGER WELL KNOWN HERE, DIES IN HOUSTON Born At Millikin's Bend, Worked At Warner And Searles Chester Duncan Yerger, former Vicksburg resident, died at his home in Houston, Texas, last night. Deceased was born at Milliken's Bend in Louisiana, the son of Dr. W. P. and Mrs. Mary McCain Yerger. Chester Yerger was formerly employed at Warner and Searles here, but has made his home in Houston for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella Saint Yerger; one daughter, Mrs. Harold Kemp, and one son, John Will, all of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Bonney and Mrs. Mary Wilson of Tallulah. Funeral services will be held with interment in Silver Cross Cemetery at Tallulah on Wednesday afternoon following arrival of the remains from Houston by train, which arrives in Tallulah at 1:15 p. m. that day. Rev. J. E. Maurer, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, will officiate.
