W. Wroten Held Sunday Funeral services for John Wesley Wroten, age 60, were held Sunday afternoon at 4 p. m., at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Irvin Cheney officiating, assisted by the Rev. E. D. Smith, pastor of the Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Wroten, a merchant in Tallulah for a number of years, died at his home at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon, after a lingering illness. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Wroten; two sons, Roy Wroten, Tallulah, and John E. Wroten, Shreveport; two step-daughters, Sarah Frances Wroten and Sherrill Wroten, both of Tallulah ; his mother, Mrs. Ella Wroten, Russum, Miss.; five brothers. M. A. Wroten, Tallulah, Roy Wroten, Port Gibson, Miss., Ernest Wroten, Plaquemine, La., Kirkland Wroten, Vicksburg, Miss., and Richard Clark Wroten, Burl, Ind.; four sisters, Mrs. Ada George, Russum, Miss., Mrs. Ila Beard, Vicksburg, Miss., Mrs. Lola Bobo, Lorman, Miss., and Mrs. Irene Palmer, Wilson, La., and several grandchildren.
