Wright-Martin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, October 5, 1951 Jessie C. Wright-Martin Jessie C. Wright-Martin, former resident of Tallulah, died Tuesday morning, October 2nd, at a Fielddale, Virginia hospital following an illness of two weeks. She was 61 years of age. Mrs. Martin, who was formerly Mrs. John Victor Wright of Tallulah, resided in this community until the early 1930's, when she moved to Jackson, Miss., prior to living in Virginia. Her body arrived in Tallulah by train Thursday morning, and funeral services were conducted, Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the First Baptist Church, with the pastor, Rev. Shirley Briggs, officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home in the Silver Cross cemetery. Pallbearers were J. R. Linton, T. A. Cagnolatti, R. R. Spigener, M. A. Wroten, R. E. Brown, James Davis. Honorary pallbearers were A. J. Boswell, Noland Harvey, Dr. E. Otis Edgerton, James Lewis Davis. Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Mr. Albert Martin, of Fielddale, Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Ryburn T. Stancil, also of Fielddale, Va.
