Wright - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 4, 1928 The death of Mr. J. V. Wright occurred at his home in Tallulah last Saturday night at nine o'clock. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at four o'clock from the Baptist Church of Tallulah, and his remains were buried in the Silver Cross Cemetery here. Dr. King, pastor of the Baptist Church in Jackson, Mr. Wright's old home, officiated. Mr. Wright has been in Tallulah a number of years and has been identified prominently with its business interests. He has been in ill health for nearly two years, but before his health began to fail him he had been manager of the Tallulah Cotton Oil Company since his advent in Tallulah a number of years ago. Mr. Wright was a member of the Church of Tallulah and during his active life did much to aid in its growth, both financially and by his regular attendance at services. He was also a member of the Tallulah Masonic Lodge. The Journal joins the entire community in expressing the loss it feels by the death of Mr. Wright and offers to the family its sincere condolences.
